EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
An R&D project focused on digitizing legacy engineering drawings. We trained a custom YOLOv8 model to identify specific technical symbols (arrows, connectors) on schematics. A secondary pipeline uses Lama Inpainting to 'clean' the drawings by removing identified elements, allowing for vectorization of the remaining structure.
TECHNICAL CHALLENGE
Training on a highly unbalanced dataset of black-and-white technical drawings requiring pixel-perfect precision.
